Junior Summer Hockey 2026

We are back for the 2026 Junior Summer Hockey!

Summer hockey is a great way for kids to get started in hockey. Games are held on Monday afternoons / evenings at Waitakere Hockey Turf (Henderson High School). Teams are entered into the competition by local schools, or children can be registered individually for club teams.

Children play in teams according to school year (Years 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8). 

Year 1-6 teams play 30 minute games on 1/4 turf, year 7/8 play 40 minute games on 1/2 turf.

Registrations are now open for Summer Hockey 2026!!

Start Date: Monday 23rd February - Monday 30th March

Grades: Year 1&2, Year 3&4, Year 5&6, Year 7&8 (like winter season)

Game duration: 30 minutes

Cost: Team enteries for Year 1-6: $130 and Year 7-8 is $150.  Individual entries: Year 1-6: $25 and Year 7-8: $30

Individuals who do not have a team, please go to www.waitakerehockey.co.nz and login (if you're an existing member) or register (if you're new) and you can register for the Junior Summer Hockey there.
