Youth Hockey

Youth players are those in Year 9-13 at school and are split into Youth Boys and Youth Girls. Playing Youth is a great way to prepare our younger members for playing in Seniors down the track.

The option to play for both Youth and Seniors is possible if selected after attending Senior trials.

2025 Season

Trials for Youth teams are yet to be confirmed and will be announced shortly.

Please register your intention to trial:

• New to Waitakere Hockey? Please enter your contact information and then under 'Choose Team' select 'Youth Registration/Trials'. It is free to trial, there will be no payment request.
• Existing or Returning to Waitakere Hockey? You will be directed to your Friendly Manager account. Look for the green 'Re-Register' button. Under 'Choose Team' select 'Youth Registrations/Trials'. It is free to trial, there will be no payment request.

Youth team announcents, training day/times and fees are still yet to be confirmed and will be announced as soon as possible.

The club provides a uniform, which is returned at the end of the season. Players provide their own stick, shinguards, mouthguard and green socks. Socks can be purchased from the club for $15 and members can receive a 10% discount (use code WH1920) for any gear purchases through our partner Freedom2Play.
